Reiki

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.

It is administered by 'laying on hands' and is based on the idea that an unseen 'life force energy' flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's 'life force energy' is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Reiki is a non-invasive therapy whose purpose is to treat holistically and to restore homeostasis.

What Happens During A Session?

A session is usually carried out with the client lying down or sitting, in a comfortable and peaceful environment. There is no need to remove any clothing. The practitioner places their hands gently, in a series of positions, over the body.

Reiki is deeply relaxing, eases stress, and has a calming effect. Treatment is enhanced if one can rest for a while afterwards and drink plenty of water to help the body detox.

The beneficial effects may be felt for several days.

Reiki is an ancient, natural, simple healing method.  It is the energy that creates everything around and within us. It allows you to absorb more life force energy using hands-on healing.

Reiki not only rebalances the physical body, but also clears the mind, calms the emotions and can re-awaken the connection with our spirituality. It aids relaxation and promotes wellbeing.

Reiki treatments can help to treat physical and mental conditions, eg stress, depression, and general aches and pains.  It can also clear toxins and strengthen the immune system.

Over time, Reiki can create positive changes in body, mind and spirit.
